Each year the CWRU program selects a theme or mantra to evoke thought and action toward the practice of authentic public health. Last year, the MPH motto “BE BOLD” was evident in efforts to institute a new 42 credit hour program, successfully conduct two Capstone Presentation Days as well as community outreach activities such as National Public Health Week and Case for Community Day. This year we continue to “BE BOLD” as we welcome more than 25 new MPH students to the program this fall, the largest incoming class since 2005. Students, faculty, staff, campus and community partners have made significant contributions and taken BOLD steps to improve the health of the community. Despite personal cost.
